Most events bill in at least two pieces. Panko keeps them attached to the same event so the outstanding balance is a number you can look up rather than compute.

Reading the balance

The event shows the contracted total, what has been invoiced, and what has been paid. Those three rarely match mid-cycle, and that is normal.
